Championing Activity Provision for over 25 years

NAPA was founded in 1997 with the objective of promoting activity provision in care homes for older people, we have since extended our reach and now support all care services across the sector to prioritise wellbeing.

 Practice and Professional Development Services

We are committed to raising the profile of Activity Providers and supporting them in their professional practice.

We do this by providing the following services:

  • Practice development Platform: The Shed. Here we provide Information, advice, and guidance to support your practice. Access thousands of resources and activity ideas to support your activity programme planning.Activity Support Service is a FREE national service and is made up of the following core activities:
  •  The NAPA SupportLine, here we provide information and support on issues relating to activity and engagement. Find out more HERE. The Activity Forum provides monthly online sessions to support best practice.  Find out more HERE.
  • Join our global Facebook community and share your challenges and successes with other activity providers and professionals. Join HERE. The group is managed by NAPA’s SupportLine team.
  • Professional Development Service. In consultation with Activity Providers,  NAPA has developed a Professional The pathway Provides opportunities for continuous professional development. Qualifications and Training programmes can be commissioned in-house or accessed directly. Find out more HERE.
  • NAPA’s Open Course Programme also provides a range of professional development opportunities. Webinars and workshop and training courses can be accessed online or commissioned in house; all sessions are designed to support best practice in activity provision. Find out more HERE.
